There will be notifications on the top left or right of your screen telling you that you must deal with hordes or defeat a nearby freak. If there are too many hordes near your base, you are given the task to deal with them or your morale will suffer. Hordes and freaks are the main problems for your community in the first game. You can still damage your car by driving silly and ramming into zombies, but it takes more work to start smoking up a car. They won't get injured and they won't be upset. You can actuall y completely run over non-hostile survivors and NPCs and nothing will happen to them. Survivors no longer have this unique trust system in the second game. Here, you can basically do whatever you want. They dodge out of the way and the game warns you that your reckless driving has caused the survivor to lose trust in you. NPC's and survivors have a trust system with the player and they will start to distrust and dislike you if you continue to be unsafe around them. If you start accelerating too close to an NPC or even run them over, there's punishment. In State of Decay, you'll damage your car beyond repair instantly, but that's not all. No matter what type of game it is, customizing cars and driving them off cliffs is a favorite pass time for players. You are not allowed to go crazy with cars, which is what most gamers want to do. Reckless driving is actually a problem in the first game. Melee weapons can still be found pretty easily, though. You can keep a car you find for a long time if you take good care of it, so there would be no need to look for more anyway. This means that it's harder to find cars around. Cars take necessary damage and need repair, but it's not as easy to blow one up as it is in the first game. It will take a long, long while for your melee weapon to break before you need another one. In State of Decay 2, things are less likely to break. Cars are on every corner of every street and melee weapons can be looted from every building. The game makes up for this because cars and melee weapons are very easy to find. Cars will also explode if you crash them and flip them over. It only takes a few crashes for your car to start smoking up, so you'll have to look for a new one often. Kill three zombies and your melee weapon is already busted. Or you can jump into a friend's game to see how their story has developed differently from yours.In the first game, everything breaks super easily. State of Decay 2 also offers a co-op multiplayer option, allowing you to invite up to three players to visit your community and help you complete your goals. or you could decide that you need their food supply more than they do. Help your neighbors, and you might make new allies. but know that they might not make it home. Send your best scavenger across the map to gather medicine for a sick friend. These decisions also result in real, lasting consequences for your community. As you play, the open, sandbox world responds to your decisions, developing in real time and dynamically offering new opportunities for you to demonstrate your own personal survival priorities. You choose when to make contact with new survivors (who have their own goals and agendas), and which of these strangers you'll rescue and recruit to your community.Įvery player's experience is unique. You choose which of your survivors to put at risk performing daring raids for food and ammunition. You choose where to make your stand, designing and fortifying your home base just the way you want it.

You control a unique group of survivors, deciding on the best strategies to keep these characters alive while improving their skills and gathering the resources they need. State of Decay 2 is a community-centered survival-fantasy game, set in a zombie apocalypse. Now, scattered survivors must band together to survive and rebuild while facing threats of starvation, sickness, hostile humans, and of course, hordes of zombies! When the dead rose fifteen months ago, civilization ended, and humanity was abandoned by its leaders. This may spruce things up since players won't just have to worry about mindless zombies anymore. Another interesting tidbit is that the sequel will include "hostile humans", unlike the first State of Decay game.
